In November 2018, the fifth graduating class of Jane Adeny Memorial School for Girls took their national graduation exams, commonly known in Kenya as KCSE exams (Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education). These exams are challenging. Each student must take exams in at least eight subjects. The exams are not multiple choice; rather, they require students to write essays, work out math problems in full, and do scientific experiments and demonstrations. The exams take three weeks to complete.
We recently received the results of the 2018 KCSE exams.
Once again, JAMS students achieved success, out-performing most other schools in Kisumu County and the nation. The 2018 scores move JAMS up from the 3rd to 2nd school in its district! And all of the scholarship students sponsored through Friends of JAMS have qualified to go to university or vocational college.
