Jane Adeny Memorial School has received a ringing endorsement from Brett Weiss, founder and director of the Weiss Scholarship Foundation. The foundation has decided to send six Form One (9th grade) students to JAMS in 2019.
Weiss has done charitable work in Kenya since 2009 and has visited numerous schools, so we treasure his evaluation. He told us, “Through my work with the Weiss Scholarship Foundation, I have visited over 40 high schools in Kenya, in many parts of the country, and what JAMS is doing is so very special. They are offering a much broader and relevant curriculum that will mean they will turn out young women who will be strong and independent and make Kenya and our world a much better place.”
Recent graduation results at JAMS support Weiss’s assessment. Recent KCSE (Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education) graduation exam performance of JAMS students earns the school a ranking of 3rd in their district and 7th out of 144 schools in Kisumu County.
Friends of JAMS is grateful to Brett Weiss and the Weiss Scholarship Foundation for this new partnership!
