JAMS’ volleyball team did well this season, winning the division level competition. In the photographs, they are practicing for the district volleyball tournament.

The team started off well, but lost in the semi-final round of the district tournament. Now having experience in competitions, they are enthusiastic about possibilities for next year.

Volleyball is one of the extracurricular activities available to JAMS students. They also compete in soccer, music contests with choral groups and with their ukelele band, and other activities.

A generous donor to Friends of JAMS has recognized that extra-curricular activities enable students to follow special interests and to develop their  teamwork and physical skills. These donations allow JAMS to purchase uniforms and equipment such as nets and balls for the volleyball team, compensate coaches, and pay competition fees.
