In 2022, your gifts provided 94 scholarships. These scholarships give each girl tuition, room and board, books, school supplies, clothes, and routine medical care. This support truly transforms the lives of these girls, who at home often get only one meal a day, live without running water or electricity, and have no access to books or internet. Because of you, they now are healthier and safer and have more options for their futures, including the possibilities of college and/or of starting their own businesses after graduation.

For 2023, thanks to your donations to the recent Giving Tuesday campaign, in combination with gifts given earlier in the year, we can provide 26 scholarships to NEW students entering JAMS in late January 2023 as members of the Class of 2026. The TOTAL NUMBER of scholarships for the 2023 School Year will be 98, our highest total ever!

These girls would not otherwise have been able to continue their education beyond the 8th grade, because in Kenya even public high schools required families to pay room and board and fees.
