We aimed for 33 new scholarships for the new class entering JAMS in January 2024—our highest goal ever—and you surpassed it! Many thanks to the donors who made it possible for us to provide 38 scholarships for the Class of 2027!
These scholarships make it possible for girls who would otherwise not have progressed beyond 8th grade to
- Complete high school
- Learn to speak and write English and Swahili
- Become computer literate in the JAMS computer lab
- Learn science in well-equipped classrooms of Sparks Lab
- Explore the world through books in the Wehrmeister Library
- Play sports such as soccer and netball
- Learn to play ukulele and sing in a chorus
- Enjoy three nutritious meals a day and regular medical care
You have changed the lives of these girls and are helping Friends of JAMS change the world one girl at a time!
